    Miami Culinary Tours

For Christmas my best friends and I all get each other an experience rather than an actual present. We’d much rather get the chance to spend time together, and the holidays are the perfect reminder to stop and enjoy the company of the people that you love. This year my friend Liz got us all tickets to Miami Culinary Tours (MCT). MCT is an award-winning Food Tour in Miami, Florida, that has several different options including a Little Havana Food & Cultural Tour, a Little Havana Culture & Bites Tour, a South Beach Food & Art Deco Tour, a Wynwood Food & Art Tour, a Coconut Grove Food & History…

    Christmas Time in London

Last year in October, we took a trip to London and I fell in love with this amazing city.  Every time we go on vacation, I buy a Christmas ornament to commemorate our trip and London was no exception.  I bought a (very expensive) red phone booth ornament from Harrods.  I hated paying that much, but to make it authentic in my mind, it just had to come from Harrods.  I was so excited to put it on the tree that year, that I told the kids I had to do it myself because if they broke it, I would be upset.  I got on the step ladder, put it…

    36 hours in New York

I love Broadway musicals, and I try to visit New York at least once a year to see a few new ones.  (OK, maybe I end up going more than once a year but we’re not going to admit that it’s an addiction lol).  With the Tony awards coming up on June 9th, I realized I hadn’t seen any of the shows nominated for Best Musical, which immediately turned into a frantic search trying to figure out how I could make it to New York to see them before the ceremony.  With things being very busy at work, D and I decided we could only go for the weekend.  My…

    Musicals in the West End

It’s a known fact I love musicals, and can’t get enough when I go to New York.  Since I began traveling though, I have a new place to get my fix – London’s West End.   I get calls and messages from friends all the time asking what they should see or where they should buy tickets, so I thought it might be easier if I just wrote an article about it. The West End is actually a region of Central London which is West of the City of London and North of the Thames river.  Many people use the term West End to describe the area where most of London’s…

    A proper British trip!

I am a self-proclaimed Anglophile and love everything British, the accents, the architecture, the history everything but the Fish and Chips lol!  I knew that when I finally got to visit, I would absolutely love it – and London did not disappoint.  It reminds me of New York (which I love), but with less trash and prettier buildings.  It also has the West End and we all know how much I love musicals American Airlines had just posted a new credit card offer where you applied for the card, and if you made one purchase on the card, you received 60,000 airline miles.  That’s it … ONE purchase.  I literally…

Start spreading the news…… my favorite Broadway Musicals!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I absolutely love theater.  Broadway, The West End, touring shows you name it, I’ll go.  I am especially partial to musicals, so if you think they have a biased advantage in this post – I’ll just ‘fess up now and admit you are absolutely right! If I have to chose between a musical and a straight play, I’ll choose the musical every time. I get calls and messages from friends all the time asking what they should see or where they should buy tickets, so I thought it might be easier if I just wrote an article about it. Let’s start with the basics…
